Chartered in 1986, the OCCPSAA is one of the most dynamic and active chapters in the nation. We are constantly recruiting current PSU students and alumni in the Orange County and Inland Empire area.

We Are!

... proud to announce that in 2010 we became the first chapter in history to reach a $100,000 endowment. Additionally, we had the pleasure of awarding scholarships totaling $20,000 in the last 2 years.

REPEAT!!!  Congratulations to our Chapter!

Based on our 2015/2016 Annual Report to the university, we have been named a Group of Distinction at the Elm Level for a third year in a row! In reaching this level of excellence, the Orange County Chapter is in the uppermost tier of Penn State’s affiliate groups.  We have a new patch and pin for our chapter banner and will be recognized in the Penn Stater among other benefits.

Lights Camera Cure 2016! For the Kids

Lights Camera Cure/LCC raised $124,597 For the Kids at the 5th annual Hollywood Dance Marathon!

The funds go to pediatric cancer programs at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA.

Team O.C. Nittany Lions’ 6 dancers raised $4200. 00.  Kristen Hessinger was Orange County’s top fundraiser with $1,520.00.  Over the past 5 years, LCC has donated $425,000 to help kids with cancer.  With your continued participation, the Hollywood Dance Marathon can only get bigger and better. We look forward to dancing for a cure next year. FTK!

The Chapter was founded circa 1982-83 by a small group of Los Angeles chapter members who were tired of driving to L.A. to attend chapter events. Dick Jantzer ’63 was the OCCPSAA’s first President. He has been a Board Member ever since and has served as the chapter President & Treasurer, and has held nearly every role on the Board of Directors. The Chapter was chartered on November 11, 1986 under the name “The Penn State Club of Orange County-Inland Empire”. Every year we celebrate our birthday with cake at a November Football TV viewing party. (Since then, Penn State changed all “Clubs” to “Chapters.”)
